Linda was raised in Providence, and after graduating from George Washington University and beginning a family in Washington, DC, she returned to Rhode Island with her family in 1981 where she has lived since. She was an elementary school teacher at the Providence Hebrew Day School for 15 years and thereafter privately tutored young children. As a spouse, parent, friend, teacher or acquaintance, she was beloved by everyone.
In addition to her husband, she leaves behind a son, Brian, and his wife, Regan, (Washington, DC) and their son, Sammi, the love of her life, and a daughter, Alison, of New York, NY. She also leaves behind two sisters, Joan P. Abramson of New York, NY, and her twin, Sandra P. Lichtenstein of Radnor, PA.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 27th at 2:00 PM at Temple Beth-El, 70 Orchard Avenue, Providence, RI. Burial will follow in Sons of Israel & David Cemetery (Temple Beth-El Cemetery). Shiva will be observed at her late residence, on Tuesday, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 28th between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM
