Lena Buehne

Born in Providence, RI she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Pia ( Rossi ) Melucci.

Lena worked as a buyer for the City of Providence for 20 years retiring in 1994.

She was a member of Providence School Clerical Local 1339.

Lena is survived by her children David A. Buehne and his wife Linda of North Providence, Laura Porreca and her husband Joseph, Jr. of Johnston, her cherished grandchildren Angela Buehne, Lisa Buehne, Joseph Porreca, David Buehne and Jonathan Porreca. Mrs. Buehne also leaves her adoring great grandchildren Joseph Porreca, Lily Buehne-Aldana, Anthony Parrillo and Ella Porreca, as well as her sister in law Connie Melucci and many nieces and nephews.

Lena was mother of the late Robert L. Buehne, grandmother of the late Robert Buehne and Matthew Porreca and sister of the late Frank Melucci and his late wife Josephine, Nicholas Melucci and Dora Colgan

and her late husband Richard.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 8:00-9:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am in St. Pius V, 240 Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
