Born December 21, 1971 to parents Charles Willett and Pamela Edith (Thornton) Hodgkins. He was a 1990 graduate of Smithfield High School with many lifelong friendships.
Kyle was employed with Verizon for 25 yrs. where he worked as a splice technician and more recently a central office technician. Kyle was also a member of IBEW 2323 and Verizons QRF Quick Response Force. Throughout his career, Kyle formed many long and meaningful friendships with his coworkers.
In 2002, Kyle met Peggy Green after a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. The two became inseparable and married June 2004. The couple welcomed their daughter Kileigh in 2005. Kyle was her biggest fan and she was his pride and joy.
Kyle could light up a room with his infectious smile and wonderful sense of humor. His greatest love was spending time with his family. When he wasn’t on the softball field with Kileigh, he enjoyed a great game of poker, countless hours of cornhole, a highly competitive family game night or just sitting in the hot tub singing oldies with his family. He hated to miss Wheel of Fortune and challenged Peggy to solve the puzzles nightly. A devoted sports fan, he loved spending his weekends watching football, baseball and hockey but especially his beloved Raiders and OSU Buckeyes.
He was a talented artist, and enjoyed drawing, painting and wood burning gifts for friends and family.
Kyle is survived by his daughter Kileigh; his wife Peggy; his “children by choice” John, James, Crystal and her fiancee’ Johnny and her daughter Reagan who affectionately referred to him as G-Hodge; his mother Pamela; his father Charles; his sister Kimberly Lees and her husband Dean; nieces Sydney and Samantha.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday from 9-10 AM in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM.
