Josephine Stella Passaretti

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Rosalyn (DiPadua) Marsocci.

Josephine worked for Sears for 29 years after which she and her husband opened Mom and Dad’s deli in East Greenwich before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished Sunday dinner’s with them.

She was the loving mother of John Passaretti and his wife Catherine and Dennis Passaretti; grandmother of Tara Passaretti, Shayna Vartian, Dayna and Devyn Passaretti and great grandmother of Ivy Rose, Jack and Stella and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Anthony, William, Jerry and Joseph Marsocci, Romilda Lombardi, Louise Morrell and Mollie Cabral.

Her funeral with visitation will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 9:30 AM from the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
