Josephine Barnes

Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Brearley.

Above all Josephine loved her family and found great joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She could always be found at home knitting or crocheting or preparing something to eat. One of her favorite activities was playing Bingo.

Josephine leaves sons Duane A. Barnes, Jr., Douglas A.Barnes and his wife Jean, and Darren A. Barnes and his wife Maria. Nanie of Tiffany, Amanda, Duane, Brittany, Jaylen and Jayce. Great Nanie to Milania, Elena, Cristian, Aiden and Richard, III. She also leaves her sister Charolette Gray. Josephine was sister of the late Helen Kawka.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00 am in The Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home 331 Smith St., Providence, Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park . Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am the morning of the funeral.
