Joseph Simeone Sr.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Boragine) Simeone; husband of the late Edith M. (Albanese) Simeone; father of Frank M. Simeone and his late wife Christine, Joseph Simeone Jr. and his wife Jeanne, Monsignor Ronald P. Simeone, Dr. Michael A. Simeone and his wife Anne, Diana M. Maccarone and her husband Edward, and Lisa R. Maccarone and her husband David; grandfather of 12; great-grandfather of 5; brother of Suzanne O’Donnell and the late Marie Ricci, Nicholas Simeone and Frank Simeone Jr.

Joseph was a Third Order Franciscan from when he was a young man. He worked for the F. Ronci Company from a young age and retired as VP of Operations in 1989 after 45 years.

Visitation will be held Monday, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by graveside burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
