Born in Providence, raised on Federal Hill, his parents were the late Michele and Mary (Proccacini) Bianco; he was the youngest of six children.
He was the devoted father of Joseph R. Bianco and his wife Charisa, Lori Martin and her husband Steven, Michele Loffredo and her husband Jason; the cherished Papa of seven grandchildren; Madison, Kaylee, Sean, Christopher, Ariana, Alexandra and Alexia; the loving brother of Michael Bianco and his wife Marie, the late Angelina (Bianco) McLynch, Salvatore, Frank, and Anthony Bianco; the beloved brother in law of Rita Marianetti, Anthony Marianetti and his wife Ruth, Robert Marianetti and his wife Mary, Paul Marianetti and his wife Paulette.
Joe graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, class of 1960. He completed his education graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Johnson and Wales College. For over 20 years, Joe worked in the Finance Department at the former Cranston General Hospital. He was a member of the Beach Meadow Campers Association for 30+ years. While he loved vacationing in Florida during the winter months, and spending summers at Matunuck Beach in RI, Joe most loved spending time with his wife Joanie, his children and grandchildren, whom he adored.
His legacy is his love for family and his kindness. For everyone who knows Joe has great admiration and respect for the man that he was. He will always be remembered.
Visitation and funeral will be held on Saturday, 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
