Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Peter and Margaret (D’Agnenica) Santagata.
He was the loving father of John Anthony Santagata (Sandra), Melissa Johnson (Anthony), and Stacy Johnson (Richard); cherished grandfather of Gianni, Nico, Anthony Merrick, Juliana, Savannah, and Victoria; and brother of the late Judith Dekonski.
He proudly served in the United States Navy.
He was a master electrician with the IBEW Local 99. He retired in 2007 but remained an active member of the Union’s Retiree’s Club.
He was a member of St. Raymond’s Parish and enjoyed spending his Saturday mornings having breakfast with his fellow Veterans.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass on Friday, November 24, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Raymond Church, 1240 N. Main St, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
