John Domenic Meleo

Born in Providence a son of the late Alberto and Rose (Narducci) Meleo. Beloved husband of the late Josephine (Mento) Meleo. Devoted father of; Roseann Martone and her husband Bartholomew, and Karen Castello and her husband William. Cherished grandpa to; Brandon Martone, Kristen Martone, Derek Castello and his wife Casey. Great grandchildren; Caleb Castello, Carter Castello, and Callum Castello. Brother of Angela Romeo and the late Ronald Meleo, Albert Meleo and Palma Hartman.

John worked for Sears as a Repair Technician for over 34 years. He cherished time with his family, always finding joy in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devoted and daily member of the 828 Club. John was a loyal fan of the New England Patriots and enjoyed watching football. He was an avid runner and participated in marathons. In his spare time, he enjoyed yard work, landscaping and helping family and friends with home improvement projects. Through the work of his hands, John showed the inner beauty of his heart and shared that love with those around him. He will forever be remembered and known as, “GRANDPA UP THE HILL” by his grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visitation and Funeral Services on Monday, December 9, starting at 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a service in the PONTARELLI-MARINO HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
