John Francis Kelly, 80, of Providence, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. He was the husband of Anne A. ( Gatta ) Kelly. Born in Providence, RI he was a son of the late Charles T. Kelly, II and Mildred (Hillman) Kelly. John had been a short order cook for The Original NY System on Smith Street, Providence, and also worked at New England Frozen Lemonade on Douglas Avenue for many years. In addition to his wife, John is survived by three sons: Brian Kelly, of Providence, Michael Kelly of Providence and John Tice and his wife Kristen of West Warwick, RI; one stepson: Keith Tice; four sisters and a brother-in-law: Sisy and Joe Dionizio, Pat Claugh, Charlaine Jackson and Sandy Matterian and a granddaughter Bella Tice. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard, Robert, and Albert Kelly and two sisters: Jane and Edie. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
