John J. Delfino, 54, of Gillen Street, Providence, passed away peacefully at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday November 26, 2019. He was the husband of Cheryl J. ( Howe ) Delfino, they were together for 30 years.
Born in Providence he was the son of the late Joseph Domenic Delfino and Dorothy Ann ( Borino ) Delfino.
Mr. Delfino served his country honorably in the United States Army. He worked for Centrex Distributors in West Greenwich for 17 years retiring due to illness. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters local 251, East Providence.
Family and friends were the most important part of John's life, he is remembered as an amazing and well respected person. He was a huge animal lover and a great cook. John was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
John loved baseball and was a diehard Boston Redsox Fan, New England Patriots Fan and an avid NASCAR fan.
Besides his wife and mother, John is survived by his children, John J. Delfino of North Providence, Brittany Mederos and her fiance Joseph Spina of Providence, Shannon Medeiros of Warren, grandchildren, Kendra and Ethan Medeiros and his faithful dog Rocky. He was brother of the late Joseph Parillo, Sr. and Frank Parillo, Sr.
A wake service will be held Tuesday December 3, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence.
