Joan A.(Haverty) Grimaldi, 74, formerly of Atwells Avenue, passed away Thursday at the Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Marlborough, MA. She was the wife of the late Louis Grimaldi. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Mary Maude (Higginbottom) Haverty. Joan was a member of the Providence Deaf Club, and was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family. She leaves her two sons, Roy T. Grimaldi of Marlborough, MA and James L. Grimaldi, of East Providence; a grandson, James L. Grimaldi, Jr.; and her brother, Milton Haverty, of FL. She was the sister of the late Thomas Haverty. Funeral and visitation will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am, with a funeral service at 10:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence.
