Joan Sue (Ferreira) Bedrosian, 87, passed away on April 14, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter B. Bedrosian.
Born in Providence, Joan was a cherished daughter of the late Alfred and Amelia (Bova) Ferreira.
Joan was a Supervisory Aid for the East Providence School Department, for many years before her retirement.
Joan was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church for over 50 years with a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. She was also a kindergarten aide at Sacred Heart School for many years after her retirement from the school department.
She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and rarely missed watching a game (she will be glad to not see Tom Brady in a Tampa Bay uniform).
In her earlier years she loved to travel to shrines in other parts of the country and around the world.
She also enjoyed music of the 40's and 50's along with The Beatles, old time radio shows and adult coloring books as well as reading.
She enjoyed time spent with family, who she loved very much. She quite enjoyed when Mark would fire up the smoker and make BBQ ribs for her. She would sit on the deck at Mark and Sharon's house and watch the birds for hours, which she loved to do. She also enjoyed many wonderful times at Scott and Maria's house, having dinners weekly, and time in the summer siting on the patio by the pool. She also loved making dinner once a week for her granddaughter Ashley and great granddaughter Ann Marie. She always enjoyed the family gatherings at holiday times, which she used to host in her earlier years.
Joan is survived by her sons, Mark Bedrosian and his wife Sharon Doolittle DVM of North Providence, Scott Bedrosian and his wife Maria also of North Providence, her sister, Marie Albanese of East Providence, her grandchildren, Simone and Candice Bedrosian of Rochester N.Y. and Ashley Bedrosian of East Providence, and her great grandchildren, Ann Marie, Alan, and Riley. She was the sister of the late Kenneth Ferreira.
All services will be private.
