Jennifer E. Smith

Jennifer E. Smith passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving husband and daughters. She was the beloved wife and best friend of George Smith Jr., to whom she was blissfully married for 20 years.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Meredith Bartlett.

Jennifer cherished her husband and adored her girls more than anything in the universe.

She was the proud mother of Kennedy Smith (fiancé Joseph Kelly) and Karington Smith; loving sister of Lori Ruggieri (Ricky), Bethany Graves, and Lynn Amoroso; adored daughter in law of George Sr. and Eileen Smith; sister-in-law of Kimberly Cariglio and Michael Smith; and cherished aunt of Ella Cariglio, Nicholas Cariglio, Matthew Cariglio Jr., Abby Smith, Eric Ruggieri, and Domenic Ruggieri.

Jennifer spent most of her days admiring her beautiful gardens and vast sanctuary. Throughout all of life’s challenges, she would always find a positive perspective.

She will be sadly missed and always remembered.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, 30 Fenner St, Providence. At the request of the family, her visitation and burial will be private.
