WarwickJeanne L. Fahey, 89, of Main Avenue, and formerly of Wickenden Street, Providence, died Sunday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late John M. Fahey. Born in Montreal, Canada, a daughter of the late Edmond J. and Alphonsine (Perreault) Dubuc, she lived in the Fox Point neighborhood of Providence most of her life.Mrs. Fahey was employed by the City of Providence School Lunch Program for fourteen years, retiring in 1984. Previously she worked as a secretary for Banister House for several years. Jeanne was a communicant of Saint Joseph Church. She was a niece of Jean Dubuc, a member of the 1918 Boston Red Sox World Series Championship Team, which sparked a lifelong interest in the team. She leaves three daughters, Claire Mahoney of West Warwick, Eileen Anderson of Raleigh, NC, and Jeanne Fargnoli of Providence; two sons, John M. Fahey of Foster, and Robert E. Fahey of Pawtucket, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Jason Mahoney and sister of the late Claire Bauset, Camille Lamar and Eunice Dubuc. The funeral will be held Thursday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Joseph Church, 92 Hope Street, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours Wednesday, 6 - 8 pm.
