Roses will bloom a little less brilliantly now. Jean Margaret Lepore (Anderson) died peacefully by her husband’s side, surrounded by her family on September 18, 2022 at Hope Hospice in Providence, Rhode Island. Jean was born on October 16, 1944 to Clarence J. Anderson and Rita A. Anderson (Holloway). Jean was a lifelong resident of Barrington, Rhode Island and a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Bayview. Jean worked for many years as a volunteer with the RI Arthritis Association. For the past 25 years, she served as the Office Manager for LDL Studio in Providence, her sons’ architectural firm.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Alphonse J. Lepore, her twin sons, Glenn M. Lepore of Providence and Gary M. Lepore of Barrington, and her beloved three grandchildren Garrett, Greer and Greta Lepore of Barrington. Jean’s mind and courageous spirit overcame physical challenges and helped her to become a paragon of compassion and strength. Her outreach of love and support leaves behind an unparalleled legacy. One of six children, Jean is survived by her brother Jack Anderson (late wife Judith) of Barrington, sisters’ Alma Inglis (late husband John) of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Mary Lazar (Paul) of New London, New Hampshire and sister-in-law Helen Anderson of Barrington. Jean is predeceased by her brothers Arthur (late wife Colleen) and Donald Anderson.
Jean loved her extended family, her husband’s family and was a friend to many. Her true strength and admiration was her generosity and belief that life was defined by your connection to others. Her house and heart were always open for all holidays and celebrations. She was cherished by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who were constantly in her prayers and recipients of handwritten cards and letters on every special occasion.
Services will be a Mass of Christian burial on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 10:00 in the morning at St. Luke’s Church in Barrington, Rhode Island.
