Jane E. Johnston, age 84, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024. She was the beloved wife of 55 years to Donald R. Johnston. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late George Charles and Mary Elizabeth ( Sullivan ) Holt.
Mrs. Johnston was a nurse at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence for 42 years before her retirement.
She leaves two sons, John G. Johnston of Pawtucket, Michael W. Johnston and his wife Mary of East Providence; two daughters, Michelle L. McCann and her husband John of Cumberland, Jennifer L. Johnston and her companion Scott Brunelle of Pawtucket. She also leaves five loving grandchildren, Scott McCann, Erin Johnston, Reilly Johnston, Jack McCann and Brendan McCann. Jane was sister of the late George Holt.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 9:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Consolation Church, 211 Sabin St, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Monday, 4:00 - 8:00 pm.
