Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Stanley and Joyce (Lawson) Fundakowski.
He was the loving father of James Fundakowski Jr. (Jessica) and Steven Fundakowski (Erica); cherished grandfather of Aubrey, Jace, Jaxon, Cason, and Jiovanni; and devoted brother of Christine Langlois (Raymond), Cynthia Pouliot (Dennis) and the late Robert Fundakowski (Deedra).
James was a self-employed carpenter for most of his life and was an active member and faithful communicant of Saint Anthony’s Church. James was a coach for many youth sports teams when his kids were young. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
His visitation will be held Monday, May 15th from 10:00-11:00 am in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
