Ian was the beloved son of Michael Novacek and Heather Callanan-Novacek and loving brother of Grace Callanan. He was the cherished grandson of Betty Novacek; great-nephew of Patricia Callanan; nephew of Tony and Karen Novacek, Bob and Stephanie Novacek, Auntie Nan Novacek, Misty Chesney, Adriane Csikós, Amy Mize, Seth Kovak, David Wichman and Roland Soucy; godson of Timothy Ryan. He was the great-grandson of the late Anne Frances Reynolds and Thomas Callanan; grandson of the late Richard Novacek; nephew of the late Cathy Soucy; and cousin of the late Andrew Soucy.
Nicknamed the "Mayor", Ian greeted everyone with a smile and either a joke or compliment. He was a pure joy to all that knew him. He knew how to improvise, adapt, and overcome from a young age. His love was pure and unconditional. The word most often used to describe him was "charming." He wanted to be a K9 officer, firefighter, train conductor, monster truck driver and join the army. He loved fast and exotic cars, airplanes, train rides and playing chess with his Dad.
You can carry on in his memory by greeting strangers with a smile and choosing to make someone laugh.
Rest easy buddy until we meet again. Who loves ya baby? We do! To the moon and back.
