

Born on September 21, 1942, in Burrillville, Rhode Island, Henry was the son of the late Henry and Helen Plouffe.
Henry was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Margaret, with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage.
A proud veteran, Henry served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965 as an Airman Second Class Ground Radio Operator. After his military service, Henry pursued his education, earning a degree from the Rhode Island School of Electronics in 1965, followed by a degree in Accounting from Johnson & Wales University in 1975.
He went on to enjoy a distinguished career as a Computer Field Engineer for Unisys, where he worked for over 25 years. Henry was also a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid poker player, spending many years at the Turner Club. Henry also took great pride in Plouffe Pork Pies, the family business.
Henry is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Grogan); his son, Steven and his wife Alicia; his son John and his wife Elissa; and his daughter Megan Witten and her husband Dominique. He was a proud grandfather to Anthony, Christian, Christopher, Roberto, and Dominique. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert Plouffe and Carol O'Brien, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins who will cherish his memory.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Janet Allard, Anita Ringette, and Albert Plouffe; his nephew, Roger Allard; his niece Stephanie Kohler and his nephew James Maguire.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the third-floor staff at Fatima Hospital for their unwavering patience, support, and compassionate care during this challenging time. A special thank you is also extended to the fourth-floor staff at Berkshire Place, whose love and attention to Henry will forever be remembered with deep appreciation. The family will forever be thankful for the warmth and hospitality shown to them during this difficult time. The family would also like to extend their sincere thanks to Continuum Hospice Care for their continuous kindness and support. Everyone's care will always be cherished in the hearts of the family.
Funeral from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence will be Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 8:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Ave, Providence. Burial with full military honors will be in the RI Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Family and friends may call Monday, April 14, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Henry’s memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization that supports our nation’s heroes as well as Hope for the Warriors, an organization that provides support for veterans struggling with physical and mental health challenges.
