Helen Marie Atkins

Atkins, Helen M.(Rose) OCDS, age 74 of Village Dr. of Riverside , passed away on February 29, 2008 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Donald S. Atkins. Born in East Providence on June 3, 1933 a daughter of the late Frank M. and Mary C.(Tierney)Rose. Before her retirement, Mrs. Atkins was employed by The New England Telephone Co. for many years and also a Nurses Aid at The Jean Jugan Residence in Pawtucket. She was a member of the order of Carmel Secular in Barrington. Mrs. Atkins was a life long avid Red Sox Fan as well as a Patriots Fan. She was a loving and caring person who will be missed by many. Besides her husband of over 50 years, she is survived by her loving children, Thomas S. Atkins of Woonsocket, Twin daughters Eileen Brown of Seekonk and Elaine Swanson of Riverside. She was also the sister of Margurite Whitaker also of Riverside. Loving grandmother of 3. Her funeral will be held on WEDNESDAY at 9am from The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 331 Smith St., PROVIDENCE with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church,244 Smith St. Providence, 02908 at 10am, a grave side burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence.
