George C. Rainville

Warwick- Rainville, George C. 67 of Sage Drive, died Thursday at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara J. ( Stravato ) Rainville for 39 years.Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George C. and Lillian (Russell) Rainville.George was a Workers' Compensation Claims Manager and Consultant for Aetna Casualty and Surety, Quantum International Group, Inc and Commercial Union/General Accident Insurance Co. for 32 years.He served in the United States Army and Reserves from 1961 to 2000 retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He received his B.S. In Industrial Management at University of Rhode Island in 1963. He was a graduate of the United States Army, Command and General Staff College.He enjoyed fly fishing and built some of the nicest bamboo rods on the stream. He was a member of Trout Unlimited and of the Sports Car Club of America.Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Geoffrey C. Rainville of Warwick and Andrew P. Rainville and his wife Denise of Foster, a brother Paul Rainville and two grandchildren, Andrew and Kaleigh Rainville.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd, Warwick.Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours, Monday 4-7pm.
