Frederick C. Morra Sr.

Frederick C. “Freddy” Morra Sr., age 76, passed away March 4, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rosemarie (DeMarco) Morra to whom he was happily married for 56 years.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Edelmira “Rita” (Vales) Morra.

He proudly served in the Army National Guard for five years.

He was a member of Teamsters Local 251 for 14 years and worked for Amsco Ltd. for 24 years until his retirement in 2006.

In his retirement, he loved watching Horse Racing and listening to his oldie’s music. He was also a former member of the San Bernardo Men’s Society.

He was the loving father of Frederick Morra Jr. and his wife Susan of Lincoln RI, James Morra of New Hampshire, and Lori Morra of Pennsylvania; cherished Papa of Michael, Matthew, and Derek; and devoted brother of Joseph Morra of Cranston RI and the late Anthony “Tony” Morra.

His visitation will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and funeral service Monday, March 11, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Ave, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
