Frank J. Rushe, Jr., 88, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, in Providence. He was the husband of the late Mary M. (McCormick) Rushe. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Frank J. and Beatrice (McManus) Rushe. He served his country proudly with the United States Army during WWII. Frank worked at Brown University as a Zamboni driver, meticulously maintaining the ice rink for 50 years, before retiring, and was often referred to as the “Ice Man”. He also loved to play cards, especially poker. He leaves his daughter, Kathleen A. Bolton, of North Smithfield, a brother, Gerard Rushe, of New Orleans, LA, and his four loving grandchildren, Brittany Bolton, Sara, John, and Frank J. Rushe. He was the father of the late Frank J. Rushe and brother of the late Margaret Leveillee and Geraldine Spaulding. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Frank’s family on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 9:30am to 11:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am, in the Russell J.
