Francesca M. Decena

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Francesco and Maria (D’Amico) Cosenza.

Her selflessness knew no bounds and she was an amazing Italian cook whose meals brought everyone together.

A true Catholic, Francesca’s faith guided her through life and her warmth and kindness were a testament to her beliefs.

She was the devoted mother of Judy Decena with whom she resided, Karen Cinquegrano and her husband William, Larry Decena and his wife Marsha, and the late Alfred Decena; cherished grandmother of Junel Decena Grande and her husband David, Anthony Decena, Tonie Cinquegrano, and Alfred Decena; loving great-grandmother of Vivienne, Olivya, Mason, and Annalise; and adored sister of Frank Cosenza, Louise Spetrini, Jeannie Young, and Linda Chu.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Francesca’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Her visitation will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will be private.
