North Providence Frances M. Brady, 83, died January 14, 2015 at the Home & Hospice Care Center of Rhode Island, following a courageous 2+ year battle against ovarian cancer. During her final days, she shared stories with her family and friends, listened to Irish Music, including a recently discovered record album made for her by her late husband as a Christmas present in 1952; as well as listened to the Westminster chimes from the mantel clock she had given to her late husband to commemorate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1978.Frances was the loving wife of the late Stephen J. Brady. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. and Frances (Stanley) Williams. She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. She worked at and retired from the former Allendale Insurance Company in Johnson, Rhode Island. Her life will be remembered as one of selfless sacrifice and a genuine desire to help others. She is survived by her children Kathleen M. Pettengill, Stephen J. Brady II, Michael T. Brady, Christina E. Groccia, Maureen E. Kissel and John F. Brady, as well as their respective loving spouses. Frances Brady is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and her best friend, Anna M. Rowell. Visiting hours will be Friday, from 5 - 7 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday morning, at 10:30 am, in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth Street, North Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 in her memory will be appreciated.
