Ernest P. Silva, 83, of Wainwright Way, Ft. Myers, FL and formerly of Johnston passed away January 4, 2015. He was the husband of the late Ann T. (Gincastro) Silva.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Egidia (Pazienza) Silva.
Ernest was a firefighter for the City of Providence for 37 years, retiring as a Lieutenant. He was also an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He was the father of Ernest P. Silva, Jr. and David A. Silva; grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 3.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston.
