Elizabeth Helen (Kennedy) Camp, 94, of Providence, passed away on April 28, 2018. She the beloved wife of the late Thurlow Camp, and daughter of the late Francis and Christine (Walsh) Kennedy.Betty was a proud member of the US Navy, serving during WWII. She was an active member of the American Legion, Roger Williams Post # 35, and the VFW. In Washington, DC, Elizabeth worked in the Navy Ordinance Lab, on the Manhattan Project.Betty is survived by two sons, John J. and Patrick M. Camp, two daughters, Carol A. Fortin, Sharon E. Camp, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, she was the mother of the late Robert E. Camp.Her funeral will be held on Friday, at 8:30 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am, in the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 107 Camp St. Providence. Burial in the RI Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours, Thursday, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
