Elisa Maccarone

Elisa (Lanzi) Maccarone, 91 of Farmington Avenue, Cranston passed away peacefully on November 22, 2011. She was the loving wife of Ralph R. Maccarone. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on November 1st .

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Matilda (Verdecchia) Lanzi.

Elisa was a devoted wife andmother who enjoyed caring for her husband and family, preparing wonderful Italian meals and making a warm and inviting home. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brightened her days and were a source of great joy.

She was the adoring mother of Ralph R. Maccarone, Jr., Carol Mastrostefano and Kathleen M. Lanphear and her husband Associate Justice JeffreyA. Lanphear; grandmother of Lisa, Michael, Peter, Hope and Kate; great grandmother of Erica, Melissa and Rebecka and sister of John Lanzi, Viola Barone and the late Brandimarti, Michael and Guido Lanzi and Margherite Mancuso.

Her funeral and visitation will be held Friday at 8:00 a.m. from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, 305 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial to follow in the R.I. Veteran Cemetery, Exeter.
