Elaine A. (Shackelford) Madden

Elaine A. (Shackelford) Madden, 78, of Cranston, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Ted L. Shackelford.Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Adrien and Edna (Rivard) Dupre.Elaine enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving grandmother and would attend all of their activities. She leaves two sons, David A. Shackelford his wife Lucia, and Mark A. Shackelford; a daughter, Robin M. Lemoie; five loving grandchildren, Katlyn, Melanie, Nicholas, Teddy and Arianna; a great-granddaughter, Isabella; brother, David Dupre; three sisters, Janice Thomas, Jeanne Fulton and Diane Harpley and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Deanne Dupre.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 9:00 am in Saint Mark Church, 15 Garden Court, Cranston. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.Calling Hours will be held from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Route 117), Warwick, RI 02886, Wednesday September 14, 2016 from 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm.In lieu of flowers donations to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 in Elaine's memory will be appreciated.
