Edward Michael Ruggiero, (Chuck) 86 of Vera Street, Cranston passed away peacefully on November 1, 2022 surrounded by his family at Hope Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband for 55 years to Kathleen (Calcagni) Ruggiero.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Edward L. and Celeste(DeRoberto) Ruggiero.
Ed was a foreman for the Providence Gas Company and worked at the Duncan Donuts Center for many years before retiring. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants Fan. He also enjoyed his workouts at the Manfredo Boxing Sports Fitness Center where he was enrolled in the Rock Steady Parkinson’s boxing Program.
He was the cherished father of Lisa A. Ruggiero and Jennifer A. Maggiacomo. He was the loving Father in-law to Richard F. Maggiacomo. He was also the brother of the late Lorraine Bianco and her late husband Everett.
He leaves 1 nephew and several cousins.
His visitation and funeral will be held Monday from 8:30-10:30 am in the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Ave, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Rocco Church, 971 Atwood Ave, Johnston. Graveside burial with military honors to follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery.
