Born in Worcester, MA she was the daughter of the late Harry Christos and Edith Theodora ( Hudson ) Giordese
Dorothy loved to entertain and having family and friends over the house. Certain people find hosting parties to be a hassle, not Dorothy, she was at her best at home surrounded by the people she loved the most. Dorothy loved doing crossword puzzles and sudoku. Dorothy was the matriarch of the family, the glue that held everyone together, she will be missed dearly by all that knew her.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Thomas C. Mallard and his wife Lynn, David A. Mallard and his wife Sharon, Cheryl A. Mallard and Carole L. Mallard, her step children David Higham and his wife Janice, Richard Higham and his wife Dianne, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, her siblings George T. Giordese and Evelyn C. Cudworth, mother in law of Maria Higham.
Dorothy was step mother of the late Edward F. Higham, Jr.
Friends and family may call Friday April 30, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 pm. Burial in the RI Veteran’s Cemetery will be Monday, May 3, 2021 at 12 noon. If you plan to attend the burial we will organize just after the administration building in the designated parking spaces on the right side of the street at 11:50 am.
