Born in Portland, Oregon, Doris was the daughter of the late John and Mary Zabukis.
She was employed as a Comptroller, for the State of Rhode Island, for many years prior to her retirement.
Doris is survived by her son, Richard H. Katkowski, and her grandchildren, Hayley, Lindsay, Steven Katkowski, and Jennifer Duryea. She was the mother of the late Robert S. Katkowski and sister of the late Nel Martish.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, from 5 – 7 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Doris’s memory to The Jonnycake Center for Hope, Peace Dale, RI.
