Donald Joseph Montefusco

Born in Providence, Don was the son of the late Julio and Angelina (Calouri) Montefusco and brother of the late Thomas Montefusco and his wife Janice.

Donald was a Certified Public Accountant that graduated from the University of Rhode Island and later earned his Master’s Degree in Taxation from Bentley College. He went on to found the accounting firm of DelGrande and Montefusco, Inc along with his partner and friend, Anthony DelGrande.

He was the cherished uncle of James and Michael Montefusco, Louis and Ryan Prete and T.J. and Chloe Nolan and great uncle of Elliot and Beatrice Montefusco, Giovanni Nolan, Gianna Belonis and Jaelyn and Armani Nolan.

Travel was something Donald enjoyed and went on many wonderful vacations with his wife Lois.

Donald touched so many lives. Many of his clients became his friends. He loved spending Saturday afternoons at his favorite cigar shop or playing or coaching softball with lifelong friends.

His childhood friend Dr. Gary Borodic was there caring for Donald until his passing. We would like to extend our thanks to all the other professionals that assisted in caring for Donald.

His visitation and funeral will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 9:30 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald’s memory to the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
