Colleen Richardson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colleen Mary (Doughall) Richardson, R.N., 67, of Johnston. Colleen passed away unexpectedly at home October 11, 2023. She was the beloved daughter of the late Dominick Patrick Doughall and Inez (Medeiros) Doughall.

After graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School, Colleen pursued her passion for nursing. Colleen earned her degree then began her career at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital where she worked as a registered nurse until retirement. Colleen was dedicated to her work and always put patients first.

In her free time, Colleen enjoyed shopping on QVC, traveling, playing slots, watching live bands, dancing, and family time. She had a great sense of humor and a "sunny disposition" that will be missed by all who knew her.

Colleen is survived by her brother, Dominick P. Doughall Jr. and his wife Dee-Dee of North Providence, three sisters, Suzanne J. Carberry and her husband Thomas of Florence, AZ, Patricia A. Tessitore and her husband Alfred of St. Charles, MO, and Erin M. Butterfield of North Providence. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 26th from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Kindly omit flowers at the family's request.
