Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Assunta (DiNuccio) Annaldo; wife of the late Joseph A. Pisaturo (Ret. Lieutenant, N.P.P.D.); mother of Joseph Jr. and Peter Pisaturo, Gina Fedele, Mia Petrella and the late Elouise DeSalvo, and grandmother of 8. She also leaves her companion, Irving Shein, and sister, Angela Palazzola. She was the sister of the late Anna Storti, Pauline Scungio, Laura Narducci, Mary Narducci, Gilda Maggiacomo, Jennie Francisco, Lucy Santurri, Domenic Annaldo and Anibile Annaldo.
Clare had worked as a lithographer and was one of the first women to join the Graphic Artists Union in the 1950s. After retiring, she went back to work as a jewelry maker. She served as both mother and father to her children for many years after her husband’s passing and was a loving grandmother and avid photographer. Mrs. P was also known to make the best meatballs and gravy as she swung a mean, wooden spoon!
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. with a funeral on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence, followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
