NORTH KINGSTOWN - PREBLE, Christopher J., 48, of Lenox Ct., died Thursday at home. He was the husband of Patricia F. (Cumber) Preble. They had been married for 18 years. Born in Providence, a son of Dorothy (Galligan) Preble, and the late Milton A. Preble, he had lived in North Kingstown for 4 years, previously living in Middlesex, England for 12 years. Mr. Preble had been a carpenter for many years. He was a US Army veteran, and was an avid WWII historian. He enjoyed constructing model aircraft. Besides his wife and mother, he leaves three children, Paul M. Preble, Christopher J. Preble, Jr., and Amy T. Preble all of North Kingstown; two brothers David E. Preble and Dwayne Preble; six sisters Sandra Ciccone, Nancy Masterfano, Theresa Galligan, Diane Sommers, Pamela Winslett, and Dorothy Ruiz. He was the father of the late Michaela Preble and brother of the late Rosalie Preble. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4-6pm, with a prayer service at 5pm in the Russell J.
