Catherine A Carroll Lacy

A daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Knight) Carroll, Catherine was the wife of the late Walter W. Gichan and the late E. Milton Lacy.

She leaves her daughters Barbara Canning and her husband Frank of Warwick, RI, Mary Jane Madura of Clinton, CT, Nancy Dow, with whom she shared a home in Hopkinton, Elizabeth Foster of Groton, CT and Martha Lacy of Lawrence, MA. We will miss her greatly. Grandma Lacy brought much love to her 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Ferrara of Providence and was the sister of the late James, Edwin and Raymond Carroll, Elizabeth Olson, Marie Hadfield and Edward Servant. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Catherine’s daughters will welcome relatives and friends on Saturday, September 11th at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 169 Main Street (RT 3), Ashaway, RI 02804, followed by a Memorial Mass at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
