Carlos "Charlie" Alberto Castillo, Sr., age 57, of Woonsocket passed away unexpectedly at Landmark Medical Center on January 4, 2022. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Osvaldo Castillo Zayas and Teresa Rivera Ramos Castillo.
He was the significant other of Kelli Cherette. He was the loving father of Carlos A. Castillo Jr., Brandon Smith, Antonio Caprio, Alejandro Charette, Manolo Castillo, Vanessa Castillo, Cassandra Smith, Alex Caprio, Aaron, Sy, Harley, Sean, and Wade.
Charlie was the beloved brother of Osvaldo “Ozzie” Castillo Jr. and his wife Enid, Jose L. Castillo and his significant other Teresa Rivera, Ricardo Rivera Castillo, the late Braulio Castillo, Olga Morales and her significant other Nino, Teresa Castillo-Bakr and her husband Abu Bakr, Mercedes Perez and her husband Frank Perez, Jenny Evans-LeDoux and her husband David LeDoux, Madeline Castillo and significant other Policarpo, Carmen D. Castillo-Jones and her husband Quinton Jones.
Charlie was a proud grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 1.
He was known to have a plethora of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousins and was loved by many.
Carlos was a man who worked with his hands and was already ready to help anyone in need. His passion in life was working on cars. He was well known for his favorite sayings of “Tomorrow, Honey”, "I Love You" and "Olga, adonde esta mi café?".
Charlie was loved by many and will live in our hearts forever. Heaven has gained an angel.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 10th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Ave, Providence followed by a service in the funeral home at 6:00 p.m.
Family Reflection will follow at 6:30 p.m., after which services will be concluded.
