Betty Ann Whitehead

Betty Ann (Myers) Whitehead, 63 of Douglas Avenue, North Providence passed away May 18, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Allen A. Whitehead and daughter of the late Herbert and Leola (Best) Myers.

Betty Ann was a supervisor with the Marriott Hotel, Orms Street, Providence for 15 years. She was also an avid bingo player.

She was the mother of George Johnson, Jr. and his wife Teresa, David F., Alan and Brian Johnson; sister of Patricia McCahey, Judith Karpus and the late Herbert Jr., Edward and Richard Myers, Carol Maurice, Janet Greiner and Virginia Scoco; grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 3; special friend of Sue Lyons and beloved aunt of Melissa. She also leaves her pet birds, Sky and Ribbon and her dog Gizmo.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 – 7 pm in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and inurnment on Friday at 10:00 am in the Redwood Chapel of Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence.
