Anne M. Rao

Anne M. (Tirocchi) Rao, 89 of Middletown and formerly of Prudence Avenue, Providence passed away December 27, 2014 in Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John Rao.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Antonia (Renzi) Tirocchi.

Anne was a loving mother and worked as a computer operator until her retirement in 1985. She was also a communicant of St. Bartholomew Church.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen M. Rao and his wife Rebecca Winner of Chagrin Falls, OH and John Rao, Jr. and his wife Linda Perrotta of Newport; three grandchildren, Jess, Julia and Nina; three great grandchildren, Abbott, John and Julian and a sister, Elizabeth Simone of Greenville. She was also the sister of the late Val Storti, Louis W. Tirocchi, D.D.S., Salvatore Tirocchi, Archie Tirocchi and Vera Tirocchi.

Her funeral with visitation will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence.
