She was born and raised in Federal Hill, a resident of Providence for over 82 years. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Giunta) Fera. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Charlene Marston-Palleschi, son-in-law Kenneth Palleschi of Cranston, and two cherished grandchildren Serena Palleschi of Cranston, and Gian Palleschi of Boston, MA. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Fera, and sister-in-law, Charlene Fera. She also leaves her beloved nephew, Albert Fera.
Ann was grateful for her years of Catholic education at Holy Ghost School and St. Francis Xavier Academy. She was a parishioner of Holy Apostles Church upon moving to Cranston in 2020. Previously, a devoted parishioner and catechism teacher at St. Augustine’s Church. Ann also enjoyed attending mass at her childhood church, Holy Ghost. If she could not attend in person, she would be live streaming the mass on Facebook.
Ann was proud of her many years of dedicated service for the City of Providence in various departments, including the Department of Planning and Redevelopment, as well as the Rhode Island State Senate. Additionally, Ann worked for notable attorneys-at-law where she earned a reputation as a highly sought-after legal secretary whose shorthand speed was unmatched.
Ann loved her family dearly, adored her friends, and was well-versed on current events and active in the community. Whether it was going to the beach, the theatre, trying new restaurants, or traveling, Ann had an unwavering will to live, and to enjoy life. She was always the sharpest in the room, from her wardrobe to her conversation. Aside from enjoying being out and about, Ann was also an avid reader and member of numerous book clubs. Ann enjoyed keeping up with family, friends, and current events through Facebook… she never missed a thing! Above all, Ann lived a very full and vibrant life. Ann passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Throughout her life’s journey, she was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Italian American Historical Society, the Sons of Italy-Renaissance Alliance, and the Saint Xavier’s Alumni Organization (as a member and volunteer). She was a member of Bonnet Shores Beach Club for over 20 years and during her time in Cranston she enjoyed frequenting the Alpine Country Club with family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday February 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave, Providence, RI. Burial will be private.
