Welk, Anita, 95, a resident of East Bay Manor in Riverside, RI, died peacefully on Saturday at the Phillip Hulitar Inpatient Center. She is survived by her children: Sr. Carmeli Proano, DC; Lou Proano, Lawrence Proano, MD, and Frederick Welk Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Frederick Welk. Mrs. Welk was born in Chicago, the daughter of Adam and Anna Bregin.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 9:30 am, in Saint Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Visiting hours will be respectfully omitted. Burial will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois.
