He was the son of the late Vito and Concetta (DeAngelis) D’Ambra; husband of the late Christel G. (Stahnke) D’Ambra; father of Andrew F. D’Ambra Jr., Connie C. D’Ambra, Vito J. D’Ambra Sr. and his wife Susan, and Joseph C. D’Ambra; grandfather of Douglas Gorman, Vito J. D’Ambra Jr., Antonio D’Ambra, twins Courtney and Joel D’Ambra, the late Christel Lee D’Ambra, and great-grandson Dayne D’Ambra; brother of the late Joseph, Domenic, Gerald, and Gito D’Ambra.
Andrew served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had worked as an auto mechanic before retiring.
Visitation will be held Monday, 10-11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Graveside burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate.
