Andomieglio "Andy" Santagata

Providence Andomieglio M. "Andy" Santagata, 64, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 11, 2010, at St.Vincent's Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. He was the beloved husband of Beverly L. (Blanchard) Santagata. Born in Providence, a son of the late Andomieglio M. and Assunta M. (Zanghi) Santagata, he lived in Cranston most of his life before moving to Florida eight years ago. Andy was a driver for Rhode Island Public Transit Authority for thirty years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 618. Beside his wife Beverly, he leaves a son, Andy J. Santagata; a daughter, Melissa (Santagata) King and her husband Edward; two grandsons, Andrew and Matthew Santagata; two granddaughters, Hailey and Gianna King; three step-sons, Michael, Jeffrey and Gino; three step-daughters, Gina, Juleen and Carol; four step-grandchildren, Shaelin, Nate, Reaghan and Leah; two sisters, Anna Carlevale and Edith Rossi; and two brothers, Louie and Joseph Santagata. He was predeceased by a sister, Susie Carlevale, and a brother, Andy Santagata. Calling hours Sunday 2:00 - 6:00 pm with the funeral service starting at 6:00 pm in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick. Burial will be private.
