Alice M. McWeeney

Alice M. (Conaty) McWeeney, 91, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on September 29, 2017. She was the wife of the late Raymond F. McWeeney; daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Maguire) Conaty; sister of Sarah DiSano with whom she resided and the late Mary D’Aquila and Thomas Conaty. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Alice worked at New England Telephone for forty-one years; her first and only job out of high school. Her life was dedicated to her family and she will be deeply missed by all. She was everybody's "Auntie Alice" and even displayed it with her license plate that read "Aunty" for many years. She will be forever remembered by her family and all the people's lives she touched throughout her 91 years.

​A Celebration of Alice's life will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. with her funeral service on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 144 Danielson Pike, Scituate. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI 02914.
