Alice M. Izzi Andrews

Alice M. (Izzi) Andrews, 93, a lifelong resident of Lincoln, passed away at home on April 17, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Lance D. Andrews. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Filomena (Marcaccio) Izzi.

Alice was the loving mother of Patricia Lennon and her husband John, and Lori Neagle and her husband W. John; cherished grandmother of Christopher Neagle, Jennifer Wallace and William Baldassare; and beloved sister of Ann Baldassare and Edmund Izzi. She was the mother of the late Kathleen Andrews and sister of the late Frank Izzi.

Alice was a proud champion swimmer during her high school years, she was also a graduate of Johnson & Wales School of Business and a member of the Lincoln PTA for many years. As a homemaker, she enjoyed caring and cooking for her family and always enjoyed watching the many varieties of wildlife and birds that came to feed in her yard. Alice also loved all animals, especially Niles and Bailey.

Visitation and funeral will be held Monday 9:30-11 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a funeral home service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Providence Animal Rescue League, 34 Elbow Street, Providence, RI 02903.
