She attended Chapman Elementary in Portland, Oregon, then Frances Willard Elementary in Eugene, Oregon, and graduated from Tillamook High School in 1960. Two years later, Olivia met her husband Bill in Cloverdale, California, as their parents lived on the same street. They were married in Reno, Nevada on November 23, 1963.
Olivia was a devoted member of the Prineville Community Church, teaching Sunday School and helping in the Nursery for many years. Her Bible was her constant companion and she spent many hours each day studying God’s word. She was an avid cribbage player and also played a mean game of Crazy Eights. Most of all, though, Olivia loved talking to people. She never failed to call friends and family on their birthdays, and in her later years enjoyed sending text messages to those she loved.
Olivia is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William, of Prineville, Oregon; Children: Aric, of Medford, Oregon and Athan, of McKinleyville, California; Sisters Barbara, of Santa Barbara, California, Nanci, of Winsor, California, and Marcia, of Oroville, California; Brothers Lonnie, of Huntington Beach, California, Paul, of Eagle Rock, California, and David, of Northridge, California; Grandchildren: Colleen, TJ, Aaron, and Daniel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Adam.
There will be a memorial service at Prineville Community Church 520 NE Elm Street on Friday, December 13th at 10AM. All are welcome to attend. Private interment will be at Juniper Haven Cemetery in Prineville on Friday afternoon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
