BLUEFIELD, VA – The journey of this earthly life was completed for James Thomas Ward II on July 26, 2013 at the age of 88. He breathed his last breath here and his first breath there when he was escorted by Jesus to his heavenly home to be reunited with his loved ones and friends and to worship Jesus throughout eternity.
James Ward II was born at Bearwallow, VA on February 13, 1925. He was the son of the late James Ward I and Carlie Wyatt Ward. Besides his parents, James II was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Linda Ruth Belcher Ward. His brothers; Paull (wife Carmie); Preston (wife Jettie); and Hassel Ward. Sisters; Minnie Ward (infant) and Myrtle Mae Ward Altizer.
Surviving to carry on his love, loyalty and passion for life are his son Randall and wife Margot and grandsons Joshua and Caleb and granddaughter Anastasia Ruth Ward. James was the last surviving member of the immediate family.
He was blessed with special nieces, nephews and cousins; also his church family and thoughtful and helpful nearby neighbors. Special caretakers; Bill Earls and Mike Brewster.
The celebration of life for James will be held Sunday, August 4, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at the Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 2-3 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. The minister officiating is Brother Danny Scott. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
