Brenda Gay Adkins

Brenda Gay Adkins, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 30, 2017.

Born in Welch, WV; she was a daughter of the late Floyd Wallace Morgan, Jr. and the late Rosie Baize Morgan Dotson and step-father, Gib Dotson.

Brenda was a kind and loving person, who was a devoted believer in Jesus Christ and loved sharing about Him, she spent much time praying for her children and grandchildren. She collected angels, she liked making candy, bunny cakes, and watching Gospel Television and cartoons, listening to music and dancing. Brenda was a member of the former Word of Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Adkins, Jr; brothers, Donald Morgan, David Morgan, and Jeff Morgan; her step father, Gibbon Dotson; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Dotson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jammey Adkins of Pulaski, VA and the mother of his children, Susan Adkins and his children, Brianna, Savannah, Jayden, and Michael; her son, Aaron Adkins and wife, Mary Celleste of Ballard, and children, Blake, Haley, Dominick, Tyler, Abby, Madison, and Dougie; her daughter Alea Adkins of Austin, TX and fiancé, Michael and her children, Callie, Tearra, and Chloe; the father of her children, Jim Adkins and wife, Debra; brother, Brian Morgan and wife, Lisa of Fredericksburg, VA; sister, Deanna Smith and husband, Bill of Peterstown; brother, Rick Dotson and wife, Trish of Bluefield, WV, brother, Duane Dotson and wife, Kathy of Princeton;, brother, Russell Dotson of Peterstown; sister-in-law, Tina Morgan, sister-in-law, Annette Morgan, brother, Jerry Adkins and wife, Jean, sister, Sue Fain and husband, Robert, brother, Tommy Adkins and wife, Anna, brother, Donnie Adkins and wife, Patricia; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, whom she loved dearly.

Services to celebrate the life of Brenda Gay Adkins will be held 2:00PM Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Princeton with Pastor David Atkinson officiating. Following the services Brenda will be laid to rest at the Peterstown Cemetery, Peterstown, WV. Pallbearers will be Jammey Adkins, Aaron Adkins, Dominick Snowdy, Blake Adkins, Tyler Pettus, Jayden Adkins, and Dillon McGraw; honorary pallbearers will be Bill Smith, Russell Dotson, Brian Morgan, Duane Dotson, and Rick Dotson.

Friends may gather with the family 11:00AM until time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
